LIBERTY TWP, BEDFORD COUNTY PA – Saturday, 10 December 2022, at 3:16am, Pennsylvania State Police responded to a home on Shoups Branch Rd for a reported home invasion and assault in progress which was being monitored by Bedford County 911.
The 911 call was then disconnected. Upon phone contact being reestablished with the homeowner, it was reported that gun shots were fired.
PA State Police, upon arrival, determined the homeowner fired one round striking Dakota Lance Hall, 22, from Huntingdon, PA. Hall succumbed to injuries at the scene.
The homeowner, 72 year old male, was transported to UPMC Bedford for treatment of injuries sustained in the assault.
The investigation is ongoing. Assisted by the Bedford County Coroners Office and Bedford County DA’s Office.
