Closures and delays likely as Chambersburg’s Limekiln Drive roadwork begins

22 February 2024- The Borough of Chambersburg is advising that Scott’s Hauling and Excavating will soon begin construction work on Limekiln Drive. The work will involve the construction and replacement of storm sewer system pipes, inlet repair and bituminous asphalt pavement restoration within the public street right-of-way.

The portion of Limekiln Drive, from Lincoln Way East to the bridge over the Falling Spring Creek, will be closed to vehicles, except local traffic, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. A Scott’s Hauling and Excavating flagging crew will direct vehicles through the construction site. There may be times when the street is limited to a single lane. All efforts will be made for residents and business owners to access properties with minor to no delay.

The Borough of Chambersburg and Scott’s Hauling and Excavating apologize in advance for this inconvenience and thank vehicle operators for your patience while street construction work takes place.
