City Hall closed due to COVID positive

HAGERSTOWN, MD–The lobby and customer service area of City Hall will be closed to the public until further notice.  

This cautionary action is being taken in response to a positive COVID-19 test result for a first floor employee.  While public exposure to the employee was negligible, pending additional test results and a deep, thorough cleaning of the lobby and customer service area, access to City Hall will be by appointment only.

During the closure, customers will only be able to make payments online.  Making payments over the phone will not be an option during this time.  Please be advised that emails sent to customerservice@hagerstownmd.org will be monitored; however, replies will likely be delayed.

Updated information, when it becomes available, will be posted online at www.hagerstownmd.org and via the City of Hagerstown’s social media platforms.

In addition, all city offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday and Friday.

All Washington County government offices will be also be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
