25 May 2023- A woman with no official address but a Chambersburg filing now has a place to stay as she’s behind bars in Franklin County Jail after allegedly selling fentanyl to a confidential informant. Shady Marie-Fay Spoonhour is charged with felony criminal use of a communications facility and felony delivery of a controlled substance. Spoonhour failed to post bail of $50,000.
On March 8th, Chambersburg Police allege Shady Spoonhour delivered pressed fentanyl to a confidential informant. She allegedly sold the drugs in the area of Wayne Avenue to the CI. Chambersburg PD were nearby and allegedly obtained surveillance photos of the deal. Additionally, the have phone records to show that the deal was facilitated by cell phone.
The substance that Spoonhour allegedly sold to the CI was not field tested due to fentanyl exposure. It is currently in the possession of the Pennsylvania State Police’s Regional Laboratory for testing.
Shady Spoonhour is behind bars on $50,000 bail. Her preliminary hearing is set for June 6th.
