04 October 2023- The new Chambersburg Police Station, adjacent to City Hall at 116 South Second Street, will officially open to the public on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 8:00 a.m., when the administrative staff begin their work day. The temporary Chambersburg Police Station located at 1540 Orchard Drive will close on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at approximately 12 o’clock noon. As they transition over to 116 South Second Street, those in need of police services can come to 116 South Second Street after 12 o’clock noon.
The new Chambersburg Police Station at 116 South Second Street will be open to the public 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, however, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., walk-in customers can enter through the South Second Street entrance or through the Utility Department’s addition to City Hall. During other days and times, walk-in customers must enter through the South Second Street entrance.
