Chambersburg PD issue multiple warrants, look for the public’s help on incidents

On 08/02/2023 at 2:22 pm CPD conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired registration. The driver of the vehicle was Tracey Jefferson. Jefferson was previously convicted 2 times of driving while operating privileges are suspended. Jefferson is being charged with a third violation which results in a misdemeanor of the 3rd degree.


On 08/16/2023 at 4:30 pm CPD units were dispatched to the 600 block of S Second St for a Harassment. A witness advised that on 08/14/2023 Christopher McCrea had grabbed her 6 year old son by the arms and pushed him against the wall. The child was left with red marks on both arms. 


On 8-26-2023 Marcos Jimenez-Perez was cited for public drunkenness.  Jimenez-Perez was found laying on the sidewalk in the 200 block of East Liberty Street.  He was unable to stand on his own and admitted to consuming too much alcohol.


On 7-28-2023 Marcy Smith was cited with Criminal Mischief after she broke a window out of a residence located on South Third Street.  Smith caused $154.57 in damages to the residence.  


On 7/21/2023, at 12:08 AM, a CPD officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Rene Galvez-Monterroso after observing a traffic violation. Investigation revealed that Galvez-Monterroso was under the influence of alcohol and had a .089% BAC. Criminal charges for DUI were filed against Galvez-Monterroso.


On 7/15/2023 at 2:27 AM, a CPD officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Dony Perez-Ruiz after observing several traffic violations. An investigation revealed that Perez-Ruiz was under the influence of alcohol and had a .188% BAC. Criminal charges were filed against Perez-Ruiz for DUI.


On 08/27/2023 CPD officers were dispatched to the Red Lobster parking lot for an active fight between a man and a woman. The officers learned that the two had engaged in the fight mutually and both were subsequently charged with summary counts of Disorderly Conduct. Chambersburg PD list the two offenders as Diego Rodas and Sarah Timmons.


On 08/26/2023 at 1823 hrs, CPD responded to an attempted stabbing behind 883 S Main St on the Rail Trail. The victim stated that Juan Santiago-Nieves attempted to stab him with a knife multiple times. Santiago punched the victim in the head and attempted to throw him to the ground. The victim and the victim’s family were able to get away with minor injuries. Santiago-Nieves was found and taken into custody minutes after the incident. Santiago-Nieves was charged with 1 count of Aggravated Assault, 1 count of Stalking and 1 count of Simple Assault.


On 06/23/2023 CPD offices were dispatched to Target for a reported accidents involving damage. The victim stated that the operator of a blue Chevy SUV had struck his vehicle while he had been sitting in it and then left the scene without providing any insurance or contact information. 

The individual portrayed in the attached photograph is considered a person of interest at this time and not necessarily a suspect. On 08/21/23, Logan Alexander Black was charged with one count of Accidents Involving Damage to an attended vehicle after he was involved in a vehicle accident and fled the scene. 


On 07/25/2023, CPD officers were notified about a criminal mischief that occurred in the 200 block of W Queen St.  The victim reported that the incident occurred between the hours of 0100-0300 hrs on 07/25/2023.  The victim’s blue BMW SDN had scratches and damage to both rear windows.  Anyone with information regarding this incident please submit a Crimewatch tip or contact CPD at 717-264-4131.
