Chambersburg PD arrest man for pulling gun on woman at Norland Avenue Sheetz

24 May 2024- A Chambersburg man is behind bars in Franklin County after allegedly pointing and firing a gun at another man at Sheetz in the borough on Thursday. Jacob Serrano-Faria is facing charges of felony firearm carried without a license, misdemeanor terroristic threats, and misdemeanor simple assault. Serrano-Faria failed to post bail of $75,000.

Chambersburg PD were dispatched to the Norland Avenue Sheetz in the borough of Chambersburg sometime on May 23th for a report of a man pulling a gun on another customer. That caller, the manager at the station, allegedly told officers that a man and woman were arguing near a gas pump and during that argument, the man pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the woman’s face. The incident, CPD say, was caught on surveillance footage at the store.

Information pertaining to the victim and her family were given to CPD by the manager and they quickly went to interview them. During the interviews, CPD say they learned that the victim had confronted the man, now known to be Jacob Serrano-Faria, at Sheetz over an issue with money involving the victim’s sister. During the argument, CPD say that Serrano-Faria exited his vehicle holding a handgun. While continuing to argue, Serrano-Faria allegedly racked the slide and ejected a live .22 caliber round onto the ground before pointing the handgun at the victim’s face. After threatening to kill her, Serrano-Faria allegedly left the store. He, CPD say, does not have a concealed carry permit in Pennsylvania.

Jacob Serrano-Faria is behind bars in Franklin County.
