02 August 2023- A Chambersburg woman in a dispute with her apartment management is looking at more than just residency issues after police and two women are allegedly assaulted by her. Kennedee Waulk-Durfee is charged with felony aggravated assault against an officer, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, and two summary charges of harassment. Waulk-Durfee is free on an unsecured bail of $25,000.
Around 4:45pm on August 1st, Chambersburg PD officers responded to assist in a civil dispute on Orchard Drive. Officers had already spoken with Kennedee Waulk-Durfee, where he was upset that she had made arrangements to move her property out of the apartment during a two day extension. The property managers, however, denied that there was an extension issued and indicated that Waulk-Durfee had already completed a key drop off.
The managers did let Waulk-Durfee to get her things from the apartment, however, and she was led back to her former apartment to get her things. Police and the managers waited outside in a common area when Waulk-Durfee allegedly charged out of her apartment and began slapping both of the managers. During the assault, Waulk-Durfee allegedly was screaming about something to do with her suitcases. A Chambersburg PD officer then intervened, trying to pull Waulk-Durfee away from the managers when she allegedly began assaulting the officer. After the second assault Waulk-Durfee was arrested by CPD.
Kennedee Waulk-Durfee is free on an unsecured bail of $25,000. Her preliminary hearing is set for August 8th.
