31 May 2023- A 62 year old Chambersburg man is pronounced deceased at York Hospital following a single vehicle crash on Anthony Highway. PSP say that Franklin Cordell, 62, of Chambersburg was behind the wheel of a Dodge pickup when it went off the road and hit a tree this morning.
Pennsylvania State Police say that they responded to a car into a tree on Anthony Highway, SR-997, Guilford Township around 9:30am on Wednesday. When Troopers arrived, they found a black 2009 Dodge Ram pickup truck that had struck a tree with its front end. The driver, Franklin Cordell, was transported by air medical to York Hospital. Pennsylvania State Police were later notified by relevant authorities that Cordell succumbed to his injury.
Mont Alto Fire and EMS, Fayetteville Fire, and WellSpan air medical as well as PSP responded to the scene.
