27 September 2023- More charges have been filed against a Chambersburg man who allegedly changed hundreds of dollars worth of paychecks from his now former employer. Jace Lee Myers is charged with four counts of felony forgery and two misdemeanor counts of theft. Myers is facing nearly identical charges from an alleged forgery of more paychecks, with the last case being filed in August. There is currently a warrant out for the arrest of Myers but sources tell us he’s in transit waiting to be arraigned on the additional charges.
PSP Chambersburg Troopers were alerted by a business owner around 2pm on September 19th of a theft from a business by a former employee. That employee, Jace Myers, was already charged earlier this year with similar allegations, to which he allegedly admitted to altering.
According to the business owner in Franklin County, Myers altered paychecks to add a total of $600 to them. Adding that to the amount that Myers had allegedly stolen prior to these charges, $1,100 was taken from the business over a number of months.
Again, Myers allegedly admitted to changing the check amounts because “he needed extra money”. He was let go from the company shortly after.
Jace Myers is currently awaiting arraignment on the newest charges.
