Chambersburg man allegedly breaks into ex’s apartment, caught wearing victim’s clothes

02 December 2022- A Chambersburg man is behind bars today after allegedly breaking into his ex’s home and stealing items including a TV and clothes. Armando W Delgado is in Franklin County Corrections on $25,000 bail after being charged with felony burglary, felony criminal trespassing, and misdemeanor theft.

On November 20th, Chambersburg PD were dispatched to a home on Philadelphia Avenue in the borough to reports of a disturbance. Dispatch was allegedly told that the caller’s ex boyfriend had broken into her apartment and had a physical confrontation with them. That ex boyfriend was allegedly found to be Armando Delgado.

The victim allegedly told police they walked into their apartment around 10 minutes before through the rear door and noticed a light was left on. The victim was positive they did not leave that light on while away from the home for a few days. After checking the apartment, Delgado was allegedly found in it. Delgado allegedly punched the victim twice in the face, but was punched himself by the victim.

Delgado was allegedly found by police to have broken in through the front door and that several items were missing including a Samsung 65″ TV and clothing. The remote to that TV was allegedly found in Delgado’s back pocket. The clothing Delgado was found wearing at the time of the arrest was also allegedly the victim’s.

Delgado is behind bars after failing to post bail of $25,000. His preliminary hearing is slated for December 13th.
