CHAMBERSBURG – On 19 December 2022 at 10:58pm a fire was reported on Brumbaugh Ave. Updated address information noted 79 Brumbaugh Avenue. First reports listed the event at 122 Brumbaugh.
Information relayed described a one story 45×50 attached garage well off with multiple propane tanks to the c-side of the building. Crews were working on search, conditions “deteriorating rapidly, CMM requested evacuation.”
At 11:03pm 1 victim was located fatal.
Chambersburg Borough Manager Stonehill noted in a social media post that two firefighters were injured. They were evaluated and required no further treatment.
