13 November 2023- Emergency First Responder crews were called to the 1500 block of Nitterhouse Drive in the borough on Sunday night for an industrial accident that lead to a life flight being called.
The Chambersburg Area Fire Department and numerous other crews responded to the incident, with a person reportedly trapped underneath a tipped over forklift. Described as a trauma incident in a release, crews had to extricate the person trapped underneath.
The victim was then transported to a trauma center hospital for intensive care following an air medical call to LifeNet 81 in Hagerstown. The current condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
