Chambersburg Constable Heefner pleads not guilty to 700+ charges

28 February 2024- Former Chambersburg Constable Timothy Heefner’s attorney is set to provide Common Pleas Judge Todd Sponseller a plea of not guilty following his formal arraignment in Central Court today.

Heefner is facing hundreds of charges following a years-long investigation into him involving involuntary servitude, official oppression, and numerous different sex crimes. He was charged initially in September by Chambersburg PD after multiple official complaints and CYS childline complaints against him had come in and were investigated as far back as 2019.

According to Franklin County District Attorney Ian Brink, Heefner has not officially been extended a plea arrangement. A number of his charges, additionally, have been changed per court filings. In total, 144 have been changed.

Timothy Heefner’s next court appearance is set at this time as April 19th, but that could be subject to change.
