Chambersburg Area School District set to host Community Forum on Facilities and Budget Tuesday

10 March 2024- After the success of the previous two Community Forums held by new Chambersburg Area School District Superintendent Chris Bigger, the district is set to host another this coming Tuesday, March 12th.

Taking place in the CASD Administration Building boardroom from 5p-6p on Tuesday, March 12th, the forums are a place for the district, its board members, and the community members like parents, faculty, and taxpayers to talk and work through a number of issues outside the scope of a normal meeting. These forums take place just before a regular board meeting or, as will happen on Tuesday, a Committee of the Whole meeting.

The topic planned for discussion by Superintendent Bigger for this latest meeting is detailing Facilities and Budget. Recently, the district has undergone and is beginning to digest a facilities report by an outside architectural firm. News Talk 1037FM talked about that with board member Stephanie Harbaugh during our last visit following the board’s full meeting at the end of February. That full interview can be found below.

Again, the Community Forum takes place from 5pm-6pm on March 12th at the CASD Administration Building, 435 Stanley Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

And in the words of Superintendent Bigger, “Your participation is highly appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you. Together we will continue to build a strong and supportive community that provides students the exceptional education they deserve.”
