WASHINGTON D.C. – Friday, 06/25/2021, Jayluen DeAndre Childs was apprehended by the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Washington D.C.
History – On 08/24/2020 at approximately 10:43pm, the Chambersburg Police Department responded to the rear of 93 W. Liberty St. for a report of a shooting. A victim was located in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the arm. The victim was transported to the Chambersburg Hospital and then transferred to the York Trauma Center for treatment, where he was treated and later released. Through the investigation, the CPD learned that Jayluen Childs was responsible for the shooting. The investigation revealed that Childs was targeting a specific person in the parking lot when he ambushed a group of three males. Childs has an active arrest warrant for Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Discharging a Firearm into Occupied Structures, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. This incident is isolated to the individuals involved.
