BREAKING: Identities of people who died running from PSP in Greencastle today released, incl. 16 year old

21 December 2023- Pennsylvania State Police have identified both people involved in a chase through southern Franklin County yesterday in the early morning hours.

Troopers say 21 year old Hagerstown man Robert Wade Norwood, a white, non-Hispanic man was the passenger in the vehicle that fled from police following an investigation into people entering vehicles around the 9000 block of Lindale Avenue. The driver’s name has not been released by PSP due to the fact he was 16 at the time of the incident, but say that he was a white, non-Hispanic male from Hagerstown, Maryland.

The chase continued on Oellig Road, with Troopers following the vehicle driven by the underage driver. That car then traveled off the roadway and through multiple farm fields/properties. While traveling through a field, the vehicle drove over a steep embankment and came to final rest in a body of water. While fire rescue units and EMS were requested at the scene, the two males were located deceased inside of the vehicle.
