02 February 2023- A Hagerstown woman is in jail in Washington County, Maryland after she’s arrested in connection to a series of bank robberies in Pennsylvania. Tiffany L. Martin, 47, of Hagerstown is charged in Pennsylvania with two felony counts of robbery with threat of immediate serious injury, two counts of felony robbery and demanding money from a financial institution, two counts of felony theft by unlawful taking, and two counts of felony receiving stolen property. Martin is behind bars in Washington County, await extradition to Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, Martin robbed the Community State Bank on Lincoln Way West in Saint Thomas on September 19th, 2022. Additionally, the Community State Bank on N Main Street in Peters Township was robbed by the same female as the first, this time on November 1st, 2022. Finally, F&M Trust on Waterfall Road, Dublin Township in Fulton County was robbed by the exact same actor on January 20th, 2023. PSP-McConnellsburg and PSP-Chambersburg investigated, allegedly determining Tiffany Martin was linked to two separate vehicles that were utilized during the robberies.
On February 2nd, an arrest warrant for Martin was obtained and she was taken into custody by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office that day. Police allegedly searched Martin’s residence, finding $15,000 in cash in the same bag that was used during one of the robberies. Martin is currently in Washington County Detention awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
