13 September 2023- Pennsylvania State Police have announced the capture of the escaped inmate Danelo Cavalcante following a multiple week manhunt. Cavalcante escaped Chester County Prison on August 31st and has been on the lam ever since.
The Brazilian national and illegal immigrant was convicted of murdering an ex-girlfriend in the Philadelphia area and sentenced just over a week before escaping. Cavalcante is also wanted in reference to a 2017 murder in his native Brazil.
