Blue Ridge Summit man arrested on parole violations, FC Sheriffs have to force entry to home

08 June 2023- A Blue Ridge Summit man wanted on parole violations out of Washington County, Maryland, is behind bars in Franklin County after allegedly running from police and causing them to break into his home. John Adam Kint Jr is charged with misdemeanor arrest prior to requisition and misdemeanor flight to avoid apprehension. Kint is behind bars on $75,000 bail in Pennsylvania.

On June 7th around 9:20am, Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies and their K9 Iron were dispatched to a home on Wyndham Avenue in Washington Township to take John Kint Jr into custody. Kint was wanted by authorities in Washington County, Maryland for probation violations.

Police allegedly knocked at the door multiple times and made no contact with anyone at the home. The neighbor to the home called into the Sheriff’s Office, allegedly telling them that Kint was indeed inside. After this, Kint’s father, Kint Sr., was called and gave police consent over the phone to enter the home.

After continuing to knock, police gained entrance to the home through the back door around 10:15am. Officers allegedly heard Kint running around the house making noise and saying “F**k you I am not coming with you” and screaming sentences that didn’t make sense. Police cleared the home, including Kint’s mother, with her getting dressed and stepping outside. Kint was then found looking through basement windows and police began to get to him.

As police waited for additional units from WTPD, Kint allegedly opened the basement doors outside and began running through the yard towards the woods. He was subsequently tased and taken into custody without further incident.

John Kint Jr is behind bars on $75,000. His preliminary hearing is set for June 20th.
