Big names coming to Gettysburg today

GETTYSBURG—A discussion on election fraud allegations in Gettysburg today is expected to attract some big names to Adams County.

President Donald Trump is expected to accompany his attorney Rudy Giuliani to a meeting with Republican state lawmakers, including state Sen. Doug Mastriano, who have organized the hearing.

The event was not listed on the public schedule released by the White House, however.

Pennsylvania Senate Republicans announced plans for the hearing during a meeting of the Pennsylvania Senate Majority Policy Committee. It’s being held at a hotel, rather than the state capitol and is expected to include testimony from testimony from witnesses who have filed affidavits alleging 2020 election fraud. It is not a legal hearing.

State and local election officials have said there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud, and both a federal court and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court have dismissed lawsuits seeking to prevent the state from certifying the results of the election.

If Trump shows, it will be the first time he has left Washington since Election Day.
