On September 26th of 2022, PSP Troopers executed a traffic stop around mile marker 160 of I-70 in Brush Creek Township, Fulton County. Seeing the driver and the occupant have pieces of marijuana on them in addition to smelling profusely of it, the driver, Kyjon Johnson, was asked to step out of the vehicle. Johnson allegedly told police that he did not have a license and that his girlfriend, Khaliyah Foster, was teaching him how to drive. Foster, it should be noticed, has been charged previously in this traffic stop and is free on $150,000 unsecured bail.
After asking about weapons, Foster allegedly told police that there was a firearm underneath the driver seat, to which a NCIC check found that it was listed as stolen from Baltimore. During the course of the vehicle search, police allegedly found multiple smoking devices, marijuana, and the firearm. Johnson was taken to Fulton County Medical for a blood draw, which late found him to be impaired at the time of driving. At PSP-McConnellsburg headquarters, Johnson allegedly told police that the firearm was his and not his girlfriend’s gun.
Johnson is behind bars on $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for January 9th.
