13 February 2023- A Greencastle and Mont Alto man is charged with a series of sexual assaults on his three daughters from the ages of 6 through their early teens. Christopher D Bennett is charged with three counts of felony rape of a child, three counts of felony IDSI of a child, three counts of felony sexual assault, two counts of felony criminal solicitation of IDSI with a child, three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault of a child, two counts of felony unlawful contact with a minor, two counts of felony intimidating a witness, three counts of felony statutory sexual assault, three counts of felony incest, three counts of felony corruption of minors, felony sexual exploitation of a child, three counts of felony child endangerment, seven counts of felony indecent assault of a person less than 13, and two counts of misdemeanor indecent exposure. Bennett is behind bars on bail denied, with Magisterial District Court Judge Duane Cunningham listing his reasoning as “No amount could assure appearance and compliance and safety of all parties including the defendant”.
On February 6th, PSP were notified with a Children and Youth report detailing that Christopher Bennett sexually abused two minor females. Interviews were conducted at Over the Rainbow CAC the next day, with the minors allegedly saying the abuse occurred at houses in Mont Alto, Greencastle, and Antrim Township. The abuse allegedly started in 2011 and continued until around 2019.
During the interviews, the female victims alleged that Bennett sexually assaulted them for years, with the assaults ranging from rape to fondling to oral sex and more. Court documents paint a very graphic picture, with Bennett also forcing them to watch pornography and reenact them. The assaults on some of the victims started when they were either 6 or 7 years old. The affidavit filing makes mention that “there is a blood relation between the victim and Bennett”, with the criminal complaint making note that Bennett is the children’s father.
Bennett is behind bars on denied bail, again due to to the fact that “no amount could assure appearance and compliance and safety of all parties including the defendant”. His preliminary hearing is set for February 21st.
