Attention Apple users – you might want to update your devices

September 8 – Apple has pushed out a security update for iPhones and iPads after recently discovered vulnerabilities in their system.

Researchers found that Apple was being deliberately targeted by spyware from an Israeli company.

Pat Ryan of NewsTalk 103.7FM said, “They’ve got a pretty big warning coming out on the national scene for some updates that are absolutely necessary.”

Attorney Clint Barkdoll added, “Apple was saying any of their products are very vulnerable to a hacking scheme right now. They’re encouraging everyone to update your iPhone, your iPad. I couldn’t tell from the reporting, will the devices give you automatically that prompt which sometimes is how that works or will you have to manually go in and do that update? But anyway you cut it, they’re recommending if you’re on an Apple product that you do that update immediately, because apparently they’re seeing instances around the world where this hacking malware software is infiltrating the Apple devices.”

Ryan suggested, “Check your operating system here. The thing with my phone right now since I’m not attached to any WiFi, they prefer it fully charged and on some sort of WiFi connection here. I can’t get that update because of that. I am on an automatic update protocol, it is not taken just yet because I haven’t been there with any WiFi. So be mindful of that one.”
