An AppleFest Saturday keeps the boredom away

CHAMBERSBURG—Not every 2020 event has been cancelled. This year’s AppleFest in downtown Chambersburg will be held this weekend.

This year’s event, however, will be different.

“This year, we have spread our festival out throughout the whole downtown with our artist vendors and food trucks in four parking lots and around the square,” explained Sam Thrush, president of Downtown Chambersburg Inc.

Many of the vendors will be found in the Elks, Kerrstown, Rosedale and King Street parking lots, in addition to on the square.

“We are welcoming everyone with social distancing in place and merchants abounding with wares to keep you smiling under those masks,” Thrush said.

AppleFest 2020 will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, in downtown Chambersburg. For a complete list of vendors and their locations, visit https://discoverchambersburg.com/applefest-2020.

Event sponsors include the Borough of Chambersburg, Drawbaugh Development, F&M Trust, M&T Bank, Chambersburg Heritage Center & Gift Shop, Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce, Chambersburg Area Development Corporation, WellSpan Health and Patriot Federal Credit Union.
