September 8 – The Environmental Protection Agency is looking to add more regulations for heavy duty truck engines in an effort to reduce air pollution.
The regulations are particularly more stringent than current ones and went into effect in March of this year. New trucks sold after 2027 will be required to have the new standards.
This could have an incredible impact on the trucking industry in this country.
The American Truck Dealer Association said these rules could increase costs by as much as $42,000 per truck. When you add all that together and put it in the big picture, it could cost the country $55 billion.
What could that do to the food supply?
Pat Ryan of NewsTalk 103.7FM suggested, “These activists are going to kill you and your family.”
The new regulations could push the small trucking companies out of business.
Attorney Clint Barkdoll said, “Not only the cost of food in the supply chain, some of these big trucking companies are saying they don’t know if they would even be able to buy those trucks. The trucks themselves would be so much more expensive. The shippers aren’t sure if they would even be able to meaningfully participate in those requirements. That’s another problem.”
Michele Jansen of NewsTalk 103.7FM noted, “This narrow focus on the emissions. We heard from a very top climate scientist that he is not giving his honest evaluation of information. To get published, he has to he has to narrowly tailor it to what the activists who have taken over all these prestigious journals want and that’s to keep pounding on the low emissions, low emissions, low emissions without talking about the reality of other things we could be doing, how we don’t need to go so quick into some of these so-called solutions, which only seem to be harming us more. It’s just insane.”
Ryan said, “Like we’re already not paying enough for eggs and meat and gas. These are the policies, it starts with Biden and Obama. Biden is not running the show at all. The only guy that stayed in DC presidential-wise was Obama. He’s pulling the strings. He’s pulling Mitch, he’s pulling the RINO’s. He’s pulling Biden clearly. The deep state. We’re never going to crawl out of this mess and it continues to get worse every day.”
Attorney Clint Barkdoll said, “I’m still not 100 percent convinced Biden is running. I don’t know how this ends. It’s going to be really curious. How does the story end?”
Biden is currently in India for the G20 Summit.
Barkdoll continued, “You have that CNN polling from yesterday. His approval rating is at an all-time low. If you look at the cross tabs of that polling, even among Democrats, his support is very, very soft. I was struck if you go back about two or three weeks ago, Biden was on a family vacation in Utah. That was his landing and takeoff point when he went to Hawaii to address that wildfire situation. There was some reporting from quote unquote insiders that were with the family during that trip, openly talking about he was on the fence about whether he was running for reelection again. If you’re in that inner circle, you see all the economic data, you just wonder is there some scenario where he looks for an off ramp? Time is getting very short, though, because deadlines are coming up to get on these initial state ballots, but I’m just really curious to see how this ends.”
Jansen added, “They’ve painted themselves in a corner. Joe Biden would have stepped out and they would have been running if they had any one that they could run sanely, but they’ve painted themselves into a corner with Harris who nobody feels like she’s going to be a qualified president. We keep hearing little back stories that they’re going to play games. They’re going to let things get to a certain point where they can switch out candidates or offer Harris maybe the Feinstein seat in California to get her taken care of, and then come in with some new players but only in a way that they can totally control the whole situation. Talk about people who are not committed to democracy.”
Barkdoll said, “There’s speculation they can put Harris into the Feinstein seat, get her back in the US Senate. The irony is if you look at these polling numbers, almost any other Democratic candidate against Trump would be ahead by a landslide and vice versa. Almost any other Republican candidate against Biden would be ahead by a landslide, but yet here we’re getting into September. We’re four months away from those early caucus and primary states, and we seem to be headed into a Biden/Trump rematch. I’ve never seen anything like this.”Air pollution regulations could seriously impact how we get our food supply
