Aggressive driving crackdown underway

WAYNE HEIGHTS — Washington Township Police will join other participating departments in the Nationwide Aggressive Driving Campaign, beginning Aug. 11. The enforcement focuses on red light running, tailgating, speeding, distracted driving and other
aggressive actions. Operators engaging in such driving behaviors will be stopped by
Washington Township Police officers and may be cited.
The aggressive-driving enforcement is a part of the Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving
Enforcement and Education Project and is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
