A debate between Ron DeSantis and Gavin Newsom should be…interesting

September 26 — Get ready for this lineup.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and California Governor Gavin Newsom will debate on November 30 in Georgia.

Sean Hannity will be the moderator and it will air on Fox News during Hannity’s show.

Attorney Clint Barkdoll predicted, “It’ll have huge ratings. There’s some obvious benefits in this for Newsom and DeSantis.”

Michele Jansen of NewsTalk 103.7FM asked, “Do you think Gavin Newsom might be the Joe Biden replacement? He’s debating a presidential candidate and certainly there’s other indicators that he’s running.”

Barkdoll said, “Newsom has been laying a lot of groundwork to suggest he could be a candidate. Remember a few months ago he was running ads in Florida, as the governor of California. He did a big sit down interview over the weekend on one of the Sunday shows. He certainly acts like a presidential candidate and some of the theory is, is he waiting for Biden to step aside during this campaign and Newsom could be right there in the wings waiting to step up to be the new candidate?”

Pat Ryan of NewsTalk 103.7FM pointed out, “All you have to do is look at the filth that is all over California. You’re already seeing it in Philly, New York, Baltimore. I see in San Diego, I think it’s San Diego, that the business community is walking out because it’s so damn bad. The Democrats and the policies that they have to put it on your backs. They’ll be happy to take whatever party they’re having, but you’re going to pay for it and what am I going to do? Put Gavin Newsom who’s brought the disaster to what was a beautiful, beautiful state and now that the nonsense that he has, and seeing this walk out of the San Diego business going we can’t sustain this. Or San Francisco where businesses are just closing up and downtown’s a ghost town. I mean, how does Gavin Newsom get any wind under his stupid sails?”

Barkdoll confirmed, “San Francisco is dying quickly. I mean, they’re losing businesses and population like they’ve never seen before. California in general, remember they lost population according to the 2020 census for the first time ever, so they have a lot of challenges. In spite of all that, it’s a big state. It’s still of course the biggest state in the country, population wise. He’s high profile. He’s well funded. One of the interesting dynamics if he does get in, remember his ex wife is Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is now the fiancee of one of Donald Trump’s sons. So there’s that interesting backstory that would be part of this as well. No doubt that debate, both he and DeSantis are seeing this as a platform to really raise their national profiles and try to generate more support.”
