HAGERSTOWN – State and local authorities arrested 33 people, served 18 arrest warrants, and recovered nearly $40,000 cash and three vehicles in connection with drug trafficking around the city, police said.
The coordinated effort was the work of a temporary task force that concentrated on taking illegal narcotics off the street. Investigators recovered fentanyl, MDMA, heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana.
“The work done by the task force officers was exceptional. We are proud of their efforts and our community is safer because of it,” a release stated.
This investigation was a coordinated effort between the Hagerstown Police Department, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the Washington County Narcotics Taskforce and the Maryland State Police under the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network.
