27 y/o Gettysburg man charged with rape of victim less than 16 in Franklin Co.

13 March 2023- Authorities are looking for a Gettysburg man after he allegedly raped a teen in Franklin County last year. Logan Robert Moose is charged with felony IDSI person less than 16, felony statutory sexual assault victim older than 11, felony aggravated indecent assault, misdemeanor indecent assault, felony sexual assault, and felony corruption of minors. Moose has a warrant out for his arrest as of time of writing.

On April 15th of 2022, PSP-Chambersburg was contacted by a forensic nurse at Meritus Medical Center reporting a sexual assault. The nurse allegedly said that the victim had been determined to have been assaulted between the evening of the 13th to 14th of that month. Shortly after, police allegedly spoke to the victim’s mother who confirmed the series of events but said her daughter didn’t go into much detail.

The findings of the forensic exam of the victim found she had multiple serious injuries that were consistent with sexual assault.

On May 6th, the victim was interviewed at a child advocacy center in Franklin County where she allegedly said that in the late evening and early morning hours, she had left her home with Moose to go to Sheetz. Moose and the victim traveled there on his motorcycle before returning. However, Moose allegedly drove in the opposite direction of the victim’s home and parked the bike in an unknown space and sat on the tank of his bike. Moose then allegedly asked the victim intimate questions before attempting to rape her, before trying again immediately after.

The victim allegedly went home and went to sleep immediately after, with Moose coming home and sleeping in the same room as the victim.

Moose was interviewed on May 17th of 2022 and said that they did go to Sheetz, traveled a different route home, and didn’t do anything inappropriate with the victim.

Moose has a warrant for his arrest.
